I saw this quote this morning and it made me think about “Mindfulness” if you follow me on my social medias platforms or know me in real life then you know I speak on this often.
Here is the quote I saw:
WHEW this hit home! It also hit social media! Lol I see so many people wanting, wishing, hoping for what’s next and completely ignoring the NOW and I too am guilty. BUT we have to acknowledge the NOW and appreciate each precious moment we have!
I also woke up to some heartbreaking news, my cousin loss her husband this morning. LORD my heart goes out to her! If you knew her story–JESUS help her! I saw that quote then a few hours later I saw the news of his passing and it just made that much more sense.
ENJOY YOUR TODAY!- I think I actually may make something with this statement because it is SUPER POWERFUL!
So Mindfulness means:
How many times do we just stop…breathe… and take in a specific moment? I did that tonight when I was tucking my daughter in for bed. I stopped looked at her, kissed her, hugged her, smelled her and repeated it a few more times! I took that moment with her and felt it with all of my senses!
It was beautiful!
So how can you practice this “Mindfulness”” Here are a few tips:
I literally practice all of these exercises and they are AMAZING!!!
SO! If you’ve never heard of mindfulness… now you have! I suggest that you do your own research and read more on the practice, there are Mindfulness meditations (if you’re into that sort of thing) and a ton of other practices, exercises, tips and tricks regarding mindfulness.
