Heyyyyy Dreamers,

We are celebrating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.–today is not his actual birthday we just observe it today, his birthday is January 15th. Anywho, how fitting the “I have a Dream…” man himself on Do Dream On’s website! Clearly, I too have a dream and he was one of my influences. The first book I had to do a paper on in elementary school I chose his life story and I believe that was the first book I read in it’s entirety. That day I fell in love with him! I have a few photos just over his life-span I wanted to share with you all; my favs are the family photos especially with Queen Coretta smiling and looking full of happiness. It had to be SOOOOOOO hard going through the things they went through and doing the things they were doing, at that time in history! Take a moment close your eyes and envision yourself back in the day standing next to Dr. King marching… people are cussing at you spitting on you, hitting you…What are you thinking, What are you feeling? POWERFUL right! I also couldn’t imagine how Queen Coretta dealt with his death… WHEW! That was a strong and beautiful woman! Their life and legacy will live on FOREVER!!!!!

We are still fighting for your Dream Dr. King, praying we fully reach it somehow—soon! May you both rest in Heaven…
