Happy Hellos Fellow Dreamers,

This is Chonita Nicole here hoping and praying you will start this week off right with an optimistic and hopeful mindset. Remember everything first starts with a thought. So we have to be very mindful of what we are thinking! =)

I am writing this blog because as I was scrolling thru one of my social media pages I stumbled across my favorite motivational speaker, the great Les Brown, post, it reads:

“Reclaim your power. Get serious and chart a new course for yourself. You know that it’s time to make a major shift in your life. Stop putting it off. Do it now. Follow your heart. Build a vision of a life that you love!! See yourself enjoying your life and making a difference. Create a circle of friends who bring value and access to new ideas, resources and people. Live life in service to your higher self. Your future is bright and in your hands.

Do you! You owe it to yourself to become positively selfish. You don’t need any other persons’ approval to pursue your dreams. Approve of yourself. Don’t allow your dream to expire. Act on your ideas and make your mark!!! You have something special. You have greatness within you!”

Wow! Yes! Mind-blowing! Wow and wow again!!!

This was extremely powerful to me and so I needed to share this with my dreamers! This is basically what God was saying to me when I quit my great-paying, “safe”, benefits having, 9-5 to be a stay at home mother for my daughter and decide to follow one of my dreams of becoming a photographer. It’s like Mr. Brown was reading my mind!

It seems to me that in life, we get so caught up in our everyday hustle and bustle that we become complacent, dull, dry and boring, we get so humdrum and lose the fire that we had as children, our imagination fades because we are so use to “reality”. we feel helpless to the things of this world and almost feel as though we are in chains, enslaved into believing we can’t work for ourselves, we can’t do the things we really want to do because we have “responsibilities”. That’s a cop out! Just because you have a responsibility that does not mean you cant take a leap of faith! You can’t follow your dreams! You can’t ignite the passion that lies dormant in your soul yearning to let out the dreamer inside of you! Sometimes we have to be radical and not play it safe! Whew the inner ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder…lol) just went crazy! Yes, Chonita Nicole said sometimes you have to be radical and not play it safe!—I used to be the epitome of Mrs. “play it safe” I feared failure and rejection and in everything I did/do I strived for perfection! In a different blog I will explain where that came from.

So I’m challenging you today on Motivational Monday–this week you will make the 1st step in…

Reclaiming your power!

You should write down your vision, your dreams aspirations and tell yourself you are about to take back your life and live the life you’ve always dreamed of!

Now let’s be clear…I am not I repeat not telling you to just go and quit your job lol you must be wise in all you do. I personally had things set in place and my husband allowed me–yes allowed…lol me-us to make that decision. However, I am challenging you to take the first step that will propel you into the life of your dreams…

Never Stop Dreaming! Do Dream On!…

Xoxoxo Yours Truly,

Thee’ One and Only Chonita Nicole =)

I feared failure and rejection as well but I have learned how can you fear something you haven’t tried. Putting yourself out there is hard but remember to surround yourself with positivity and supportive people who love you. Because the haters will hate!

Yes FEAR is extremely POWERFUL and we have to always remember God didn’t give us the spirit of fear!
      2 Timothy 1:7
King James Version (KJV) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

I have to repeat this to myself when I feel fear creeping its ugly head! And the company you keep is paramount in being successful. You want to surround yourself with people who make you better and vice versa. Thanks for the comment!
