i love this poem it’s one of my absolute favorites! i keep it visible and read it often to remind myself to conquer my fears, believe in myself and always let my light shine. a lot of times we dim our lights for the comfort of others. this doesn’t help them nor ourselves. god made each one of us wonderfully made and unique from everyone else in the world. with these unique gifts and talents we all have the capability to be great, and who are we not to be great?!? whatever your specific god-given talent…gifts…your purpose is use it! use it for the betterment of mankind, to change the world and to glorify god! so as i tell myself to let my light shine i’m telling each and everyone of you to let your light shine so bright that you blind a few people! =) let’s conquer our fears, let our lights shine and continue to dream…and with hard work and dedication we can make our dreams into reality!<\/p>\n
